Let's Analyze the myth of 80% federal budget allocated for defense

I have been listening since my childhood that Pak Army occupies the 80% of the total budget. Let's examine this baseless myth:

• Only 16% of the total budget of year 2021-22 has been allocated for defense.
• Army's budget is the 7% of the total budget and 2.8% GDP in the current situation.
• No increase in defense budget in year 2019-2020 due to harsh economic conditions.
• There is no increase in the salaries in armed forces in 2020-2021. 
• No comprise was done in the achievements of operation Zarb-E-Azb.
• Rs 2.56 billion was spent from the defense budget against the Corona pandemic but no additional demand was made.
• The defense budget alone spent Rs 297 million against the locusts attack.
• At the direction of the Chief of Army Staff, special attention has been paid to the local manufacture of defense equipment and products in recent years.
• More than Rs. 190 billion deposited in the national exchequer in the year 19-20 in terms of indirect / indirect taxes.
• Rs 25.8 billion was collected under income tax, customs surcharge and sales tax.
• Pak Army relief agencies paid Rs 164.239 billion in taxes and duties.
• These organizations include the Army Welfare Trust, the Military Foundation, the National Logistics Cell and the Frontier Works Organization.
• India spends four times a year on one of its soldiers compared to Pakistan.
• Pakistan spends 12,500 a year on one of its soldiers, while India spends  42,000.
• The United States spends  392,000 a year on its troops, while Saudi Arabia spends  371,000.
• India is the third largest country in the world in terms of annual defense spending.
• From 2014 to 2019, India's defense budget increased from  51 billion to 71 billion, but not Pakistan's.
• India's defense budget is 6 to 7 times higher than Pakistan's.
• India was the world's second largest arms importer from 2016-20.
• India spends about  18-19 billion annually on new weapons alone, which is almost twice the budget of Pakistan.

 

If anyone even after reading these details keeps saying that army is taking 80% budget of the country so ask him to prove and the mentioned details and points can be verified or counter-checked with the budget books.
